Getting Teeth?

From the first tooth, you need to be gently brushing twice daily. Begin flossing as soon as two teeth start touching. It will be difficult to start, but the sooner you start building this into your child's routine, the better the habit will be as they get older.

First Visit

X-rays, examinations, & professional cleaning are all new to your child. Don't be alarmed if your child isn't comfortable right away, the goal of the first visit is to build familiarity with our office, staff & procedures, while developing a level of comfort.

Building Confidence

Our team works to make your child's dental visits happy ones. Our team takes the time to ensure your child is comfortable, that he or she understands what's going to happen, and goes the extra mile to make coming to the dentist a fun experience.

Patient Education

Contact our office today to schedule your child’s regular checkup and teeth cleaning appointment. Our team is here to help your child develop and maintain optimal oral health by teaching them the proper way to brush, floss, and care for their smile.

Building Great Oral Health Habits

When children are old enough to hold their own toothbrush, it’s important to let them brush on their own teeth. We recommend playing a fun game like Follow the Leader or Simon Says. As your child becomes more independent, you can still make brushing fun by incorporating songs. Try starting a chart to track daily brushing and flossing, reward with stickers.

Custom Fit Sports Guards

If your child has joined a sports club or team, they’ve probably received a uniform complete with protective equipment. At Stratas Dentistry, we offer custom fitted athletic mouth guards to protect your child's smile. These custom guards are more comfortable than one-size options, so children are more likely to wear them consistently.
